Use facial recognition on your Galaxy A14 5G to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security and privacy
    Biometrics
    Face Recognition
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. If presented with the 'More about face recognition' screen, review the info than tap
    Continue
    .
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed onscreen.
      2. From the Face recognition menu, tap the switch(es) to turn each option on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen until swipe, etc.).
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the Face recognition menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
