Your Galaxy S23 / S23+ / S23 Ultra lets you combine or separate multiple contacts that were saved with different details or appear as duplicates.

Before you begin

The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (Gmail™, Facebook®, etc.). To correct contact info joined in error, you can edit, delete or undo changes to contacts.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Do any of the following:
    • To link a contact:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu icon
        .
      2. Tap
        Manage contacts
        .
      3. Tap
        Merge contacts
        .
      4. Select the contact(s) to link then tap
        Merge
        .
    • To unlink a contact:
      1. Select a contact.
      2. Tap
        Storage locations
        .
      3. Tap
        Unlink
         located to the right of the contact(s).
