Add an Existing Google Account

Adding a Google™ (Gmail™) account to your Galaxy Z Flip5 lets you access email, apps, and services, as well as sync your data across multiple devices.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Manage accounts
    Add account
    .
  3. Tap
    Google
    .
  4. Enter the email address for your Google account then tap
    Next
    .
  5. Enter the password then tap
    Next
    .
  6. To continue, review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy then tap
    I agree
    .
  7. If prompted for a recovery phone number, enter or confirm the info then tap
    Yes, I'm in
     or
    Save
    .
  8. To keep the device backed up with your Google account, tap
    Turn on Backup
    .
    If you don't want to back up to your Google account, tap
    Don't turn on
    .
  9. Select any of the additional options (recovery email, address, useful tips) then follow the onscreen instructions, otherwise tap
    Not now
    .
  10. From the Google services screen, tap the
    Back up device data switch
     to turn on or off then tap
    Accept
    .
