Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Z Fold5 makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. Touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag-and-drop the app onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
    .
  3. Tap the preferred app.
  4. Touch and hold a widget.
  5. Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.
  6. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Calendar) to create a folder.
  3. Do either of the following:
    • To rename a folder:
      1. Tap
        Folder Name
         at the top of the folder.
      2. Enter a name for the folder then tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove a folder:
      1. To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, folder, etc.) until the menu appears then release.
  2. Tap the applicable option:
    • Select
    • Remove
    • Disable or Uninstall

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
     (lower-left).
  3. From the Wallpaper and style screen, tap
    Change wallpapers
     then do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Tap any of the following:
        • Featured
        • Graphical
        • Colors
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Select an option (Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      4. Tap
        Next
        .
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
      6. If prompted, select an option to change the color palette.
      7. To confirm, tap
        Apply
         (at the bottom).
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      2. Locate then select the preferred picture.
      3. Select an option (Home screen, Lock screen, Lock and Home screens).
      4. Tap
        Next
        .
      5. Tap
        Done
        .
