Google Backup and Restore

With automatic backups, app settings and personal data on your Galaxy Z Fold5 are saved to your Google™ account, making it easy to restore everything after a reset.

Before you begin

When a Google™ account is added to your device, previous backups are restored. This can be done by adding an existing Google account to your already active device or by signing in to the same Google account while setting up your new or reset device.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Backup data
    .
  3. Tap the
    Backup by Google One switch
     to turn on or off.
    If turned off, existing backups are deleted from Google's servers.
  4. To change the backup account, tap
    Account storage
     then tap the preferred Google (Gmail) account.
