Add / Remove Face Recognition

Set up fingerprint recognition on your Galaxy Z Fold5 for fast, secure access. Remove saved fingerprints when troubleshooting or changing devices.

Before you begin

Ensure a secure lock screen (e.g., PIN, pattern, etc.) has been set up.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Security and privacy

Biometrics

Face Recognition

Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.

If presented with the More about face recognition screen, review the info then tap

Continue

Do any of the following:

For first-time setup:

While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed onscreen.

From the Face recognition menu, tap the switch(es) to turn each option on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen until swipe, etc.)

To remove face data:

From the Face recognition menu, tap
