With automatic backups, app settings and personal data on your Galaxy Watch6 / Watch6 Classic are saved to your Samsung account, making it easy to restore everything after a reset.

Before you begin

From your Android™ smartphone, ensure the Galaxy Wearable app is installed and updated.
Backup requires the Smart Switch app to be installed on your companion phone.
  • When the watch is connected to your phone, Smart Switch automatically backs up your watch data and files it to your phone periodically.
  • If Smart Switch is uninstalled, backups saved on your phone are deleted.

Steps

  1. From a Home screen on your companion phone, open the
    Galaxy Wearable app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Watch settings
    Accounts and backup
    .
  3. Tap one of the following switches to turn on or off:
    • For Number Share (Set Up for Myself), tap
      Save backup to Samsung account storage
      .
    • For Kid Setup, tap
      Auto back up
      .
  4. If Backup files are listed, view the date and time of the last backup.
