Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+ 5G - Add / Remove Face Recognition

Here's how to set up and remove facial recognition on your Galaxy Tab S9+ 5G.
  1. Ensure a secure screen lock has been set up.
  2. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Security and privacy
    Screen lock and biometrics
    Face recognition
    .
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  5. Do any of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Review the 'Face recognition' message then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. If presented, review the instructions then tap
        Continue
        .
      3. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed onscreen.
      4. If prompted, remove your glasses then tap
        Continue
        .
      5. From the 'Face recognition' menu, tap any of the switches to turn on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Require open eyes, etc.).
    • To add another recognized face:
      1. Tap
        Add alternative appearance to enhance recognition
        .
      2. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the square displayed onscreen.
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the 'Face recognition' menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
