 Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your Galaxy S23 FE to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Lock screen and AOD
    Screen lock and biometrics
    .
  3. Tap
    Face Recognition
     then do any of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. From the Face recognition screen, review the info then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. Review the Face registration help tips then tap
        Register
        .
      3. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed onscreen.
      4. From the Face recognition menu, tap any of the following switch(es) to turn on or off (e.g., Face unlock, Stay on Lock screen until swipe, etc.).
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the Face recognition menu, tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
