Connecting your Galaxy A15 5G to a computer allows you to move photos, videos or music to free up storage space or back them up to make sure your files are safe.

Before you begin

If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is needed to transfer files.

Steps

  1. Connect your Galaxy A15 5G to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap
    Allow
    .
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the
      Notifications bar
       then drag to the bottom.
    2. From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging, USB for image transfer, etc.).
    3. Select
      Transferring files
      .
  3. From your computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
  4. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, click
    This PC
     then navigate:
    Galaxy A15 5G
    Phone
    .
  5. Utilize the computer to copy media files between the appropriate folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera, Download, Movies, etc.) on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
