Your moto g play - 2024 lets you combine or separate multiple contacts that were saved with different details or appear as duplicates.

Before you begin

The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (e.g., Gmail™, Microsoft® Exchange, Facebook®, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
     then tap a contact.
  2. Tap the
    3-dot Menu
     then do one of the following:
    • To link contacts:
      1. Tap
        Link
        .
        If a link has previously been created, tap
        View linked contacts
         then select
        Add
        .
      2. Tap the contact to link.
    • To unlink contacts:
      1. Tap
        Unlink
        .
      2. To confirm, from the Unlink this contact prompt, tap
        Unlink
        .
