Manage RTT Settings

Use RTT to text in real time on calls from your moto g play - 2024. This can help with hearing or speech issues or if you prefer typing.

Enable / Disable RTT

  1. Open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
    .
  3. Navigate:
    Settings
    Accessibility
    Real-time text (RTT) Call
    .
  4. Tap the
    Switch
     to show the RTT keyboard during calls.
    If prompted, review confirmation then tap
    OK
    .
    When RTT is enabled on both devices no audio is heard on the call. If you aren't hearing audio make sure RTT is turned off.

Make a Call with RTT

  1. With RTT enabled, open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Tap the
      Keypad icon
      , enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      RTT icon
      .
    • From the Contacts or Recents tab, select a contact then tap
      RTT call
      .

Switch a Call to RTT

  1. While on a call, tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
     then select
    Show RTT keyboard
    .

End an RTT Call

  1. While on a call, tap the
    End call icon
    .
