Motions and Gestures

Adjust motion and gesture settings to improve how you use your moto g play - 2024. Customize for gestures, quicker shortcuts, and increased overall efficiency.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Gestures
    .
  3. Tap any of the following to choose an option:
    • On-screen gestures
      • Navigation mode
        : Tap then choose
        Gesture navigation
         or
        3-button navigation
        .
      • One-handed mode
        : Tap the
        switch
         to turn on or off.
      • Swipe to split
        : See apps in split screen by swiping back and forth.
      • Three finger screenshot
        : Tap the
        switch
         to turn on or off.
    • Physical key
      • Double press power key
        : Tap then select,
        None
        ,
        Launch Assistant
         or
        Launch Camera
        .
      • Press & hold power button
        : Access digital assistant.
      • Media controls
        : Tap then tap the
        switch
         to turn on or off.
    • Kinetic gestures - tap any of the following, then tap the switch(es) to turn on or off:
      • Fast flashlight
        : Turn your flashlight on/off with two chopping motions.
      • Lift to unlock
        : Unlock your phone lifting it and looking at the screen.
      • Pick up to silence
        : Pick up the phone to silence the ringer.
      • Flip for DND
        : Flip the phone over to enable Do Not Disturb.
