Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Moving files to an SD card frees up storage space and helps your moto g play - 2024 run more efficiently.

Before you begin

Ensure an SD / memory card is inserted in your moto g play - 2024 before moving files.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Storage

This device

Select a category (e.g., Images, Audio, etc.).

If applicable, select the directory/folder that contains the file(s).

Tap and hold the file to select it.

Tap the

3-dot Menu icon

Tap

Move to

then tap

SD card

Tap the applicable SD Card folder.

If necessary, navigate to the applicable directory to move the files to or create a new folder.
