Restart in Safe Mode

Restarting your moto g power 5G in Safe Mode puts it into a diagnostic state that only runs system apps so you can determine if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.

Before you begin

An alternate method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the 'Power off' option appears on the screen then release.
  2. Touch and hold
    Power off
     until 'Reboot to safe mode' screen appears.
  3. From the Reboot to safe mode prompt, tap
    OK
     then wait for 'Safe mode' to appear in the lower left of the screen.
  5. To exit Safe Mode, restart your device.
