Factory Data Reset (Powered On)

Reset your moto g power 5G to factory settings as a final troubleshooting step, or an easy way to erase your data if you're upgrading or trading your device in.

Before you begin

An alternate reset method is available if the device is unresponsive or won't power on.
Perform a factory data reset only if necessary as it removes your Google™ account and all data, including system data, app data and media.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    System
    Reset options
    Erase all data (factory reset)
    .
  3. Review the info then tap
    Erase all data
    .
  4. Enter the current unlock PIN, pattern or password.
  5. Tap
    Erase all data
     to confirm then allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
