Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Moving files to an SD card frees up storage space and helps your moto g power 5G run more efficiently.

Before you begin

Ensure an SD / memory card is inserted in your moto g power 5G before moving files.

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Storage

From the dropdown menu, tap

This device

Select a category (e.g., Photos & videos, Music & audio, etc.).

If applicable, select the directory/folder that contains the file(s).

Touch and hold the file to select it.

Tap the

3-dot Menu icon

in the upper right.

Tap

Move to

then tap

SD card

Select the applicable SD card folder.

If necessary, navigate to the appropriate directory to move the files to or create a new folder.
