Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your moto g power 5G to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Face Unlock
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Set up
        .
      2. While holding the phone 8-20 inches away, position your face within the circle displayed onscreen.
      3. Review the instructions then tap
        Next
        .
      4. From the Looks good screen, tap
        Done
        .
    • To remove face data:
      1. From the Face Unlock menu, tap
        Delete face data
        .
      2. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
        Delete
        .
