Uninstall Apps

Unused apps take up storage space and slow down your moto g power 5G. Uninstalling apps you don't need can improve performance and reduce clutter.

Before you begin

Apps included with the Android™ operating system may not have an uninstall option. Some apps that can't be uninstalled can be disabled; however, disabling apps may cause related apps to malfunction.
If uninstalling an app update, ensure auto-update is disabled for the specified app until the issue is resolved with the developer.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Apps
     then tap
    See all apps
    .
  3. If needed, tap the
    Dropdown arrow icon
     then select
    All apps
    .
  4. Tap an app then do one of the following:
    • To uninstall the app:
      1. Tap
        Uninstall
        .
      2. Review the notification then tap
        OK
         to confirm.
    • To uninstall app updates:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu icon
        .
      2. Tap
        Uninstall updates
        .
      3. To confirm, review the notification then tap
        OK
