Manage Wireless Emergency Alerts

Emergency alerts keep you updated on situations like severe weather, public safety threats, AMBER alerts, etc. Set your Pixel 8a to receive only the alerts you want.

Before you begin

National alerts can't be turned off.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Notifications
    Wireless emergency alerts
    .
  3. To control alerts, tap the
    Alerts switch
     next to each option to turn on or off (e.g., Extreme threats, AMBER alerts, etc.).
  4. Tap
    Alert reminder
     then select an option (e.g., Once, Every 2 minutes, etc.).
