Switching to a new device, traveling or troubleshooting a connectivity issue? Learn how to quickly and easily insert or remove the SIM card for your moto g 5G.

Before you begin

Don't try to insert or remove the SIM card while the device is powered on because it may hard the SIM card or the device.

Steps

  1. Using the provided tool, pop out the SIM card tray then do one of the following:
    • To insert the SIM card, ensure the gold contacts are facing down then gently push the tray into the slot.
    • To remove the SIM card, lift the SIM card from the tray.
  2. Push the tray back into the device.
