Insert or Remove SD / Memory Card

If your moto g 5G is low on storage, use an SD card for extra space. Follow these steps to insert or remove it without losing data.

Before you begin

Ensure your device is powered off before you insert or remove an SD / memory card.

Steps

  1. Insert the SIM tool into the hole next to the tray to pop out the tray then do one of the following:
    • To insert an SD / memory card, ensure the gold contacts are facing down.

    • To remove an SD / memory card, insert the tool into the hole on the back of the tray to pop out the card.

  2. Push the tray back into the device.
