Link / Unlink ContactsYour moto g 5G lets you combine or separate multiple contacts that were saved with different details or appear as duplicates.
Before you begin
The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (e.g., Gmail™, Microsoft® Exchange, Facebook®, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.
Steps
- Open theContacts app.
- Tap the3-dot Menuthen do one of the following:
- To link contacts:
- TapLink.If a link has previously been created, tapView linked contactsthen selectAdd.
- Tap the contact to link.
- To unlink contacts:
- TapView linked contacts.
- TapUnlink.
- From the 'Unlink this contact...?' prompt, tapUnlinkto confirm.
