Add / Remove Fingerprint Recognition

Use facial recognition on your TCL 50 XE 5G to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Face & fingerprint unlock
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Tap
    Fingerprint
    .
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
      2. Tap
        Got it
        .
      3. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process completes.
      4. Tap
        Done
        .
      5. Tap the
        Unlock device switch
         to turn on or off.
    • To add more fingerprints:
      1. Tap
        Add fingerprint
        .
      2. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process completes.
      3. Tap
        Done
         if finished or
        Add fingerprints
         to continue adding fingerprints.
    • To remove fingerprints:
      1. Tap the fingerprint to remove.
      2. Tap
        Remove fingerprint

        Remove
