Manage RTT Settings

Use RTT to text in real time on calls from your TCL 50 XE 5G. This can help with hearing or speech issues or if you prefer typing.

Change RTT Visibility

  1. Open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Menu icon
    Settings
    Accessibility
    .
  3. Tap
    Real Time Text Visibility
    .
  4. Tap
    RTT Visibility
     then select from one of the following options:
    • When Placing Calls
    • Only During Calls

Make a Call with RTT

  1. With 'When Placing Calls' selected under the RTT visibility setting, open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      RTT call icon
      .
    • From the Recents tab or Contacts tab, select an entry then tap
      RTT call
      .

Switch a Call to RTT

  1. While on a call, tap
    Real Time Text
    .

End an RTT Call

  1. While on a call, tap the
    End icon
     to end the call.
