Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 - Activate / Set Up Device

These steps guide you through setting up and customizing your Galaxy Z Flip6 for everyday use.
If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step-by-step instructions before activating the new device.
  1. Ensure a 5G SIM card is inserted into your device prior to powering on.
    An eSIM (embedded SIM) can be added after set up is complete.
  2. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the Samsung Galaxy screen appears then release.
  3. From the 'Welcome' screen, select the appropriate language then tap
    Start
    .
  4. From the Terms and Privacy screen, review then tap
    Agree
    .
  5. Ensure the appropriate mobile number is listed then tap
    Next
    .
    If prompted, enter the account PIN then follow the onscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs for additional info).
    If activating a new phone, ensure the old phone is powered off.
  6. To set up your device using another phone or tablet, choose
    Galaxy or Android device
     or
    iPhone or iPad
     then follow the instructions.

     to set up the device without using a different device.
  7. Select a network then enter the password then tap

     to add Wi-Fi networks after setup is complete.
    If activating using eSIM, a Wi-Fi network is required if activation fails over the cellular network.

  9. Sign in to your existing Google™ account or create a new one, then tap

  12. Select a protection option then follow the on-screen prompts.

  13. From the 'Access your Assistant with Hey Google' screen, tap

     to set up the Google Assistant on your device.
  14. From the 'Access your Assistant without...' screen, tap

     to allow the assistant to respond when your phone is locked.
  15. From the 'Verizon Services' screen, tap any of the switches to turn on or off then tap
    Accept

  16. From the 'Verizon Cloud' screen, tap

  17. From the 'Verizon Digital Secure' screen, review the info, tap

  19. From the 'Samsung services legal information' screen, review then tap

  20. From the 'Samsung services' screen, tap the applicable switch(es) to turn on or off then tap

  21. From the 'Choose your display mode' screen, select the preferred mode (Light or Dark), then tap

  22. From the 'Taking care of your phone' screen, read the info then tap
