Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app

  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Manage accounts
    .
  3. Select the applicable Gmail address.
  4. Tap
    Remove account
    .
  5. To confirm, review the notification then tap
    Remove account
