Switching to a new device, traveling or troubleshooting a connectivity issue? Learn how to quickly and easily insert or remove the SIM card for your Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Before you begin

Ensure the device is powered off as inserting or removing the SIM card while the device is powered on may harm the SIM card and/or the device.

Steps

  1. From the bottom edge of the device, insert the SIM removal tool into the hole, push in until the tray ejects then remove the tray from the phone.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • To insert SIM card: Using the notch in the card as a guide, insert the SIM card into the tray with the gold contacts facing up.
    • To remove SIM card: Lift the card from the tray.

  3. Carefully reposition the tray into the slot and push it gently back into the phone.
