Add / Remove a Wi-Fi Connection

Connect your Galaxy A16 5G to a visible or hidden Wi-Fi network or remove a saved one. This can help with troubleshooting or make it easier to connect to networks you use.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    Wi-Fi
    .
  3. Ensure the Wi-Fi switch is turned on.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Connect to an available Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap the preferred Wi-Fi network.
      2. Enter the appropriate password then tap
        Connect
        .
    • Manually connect to a Wi-Fi network:
      1. Tap
        Add network
         (scroll down if needed).
      2. From the Network name field, enter the applicable name.
      3. Tap
        Security
        .
      4. Tap the applicable security option (i.e., None, Enhanced, WEP, etc.).
      5. From the Password field, enter the applicable password.
      6. Ensure additional settings (e.g., EAP method, CA certificate, etc.) are configured appropriately then tap
        Save
        .
    • Remove a Wi-Fi connection:
      1. Tap the
        Gear icon
         next to the Wi-Fi network you wish to remove.
      2. Tap
        Forget
        .
