Your Galaxy S25 / S25+ / S25 Edge / S25 Ultra lets you combine or separate multiple contacts that were saved with different details or appear as duplicates.

Before you begin

The Contacts app uses an intelligent merge feature to combine contact info from various sources (Gmail™, Microsoft® Exchange, new entries, etc.). If contact info was joined in error, the info can be separated back into individual contacts.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Contacts app
    .
  2. Do any of the following:
    • To link a contact:
      1. Tap the
        3-dot Menu
        .
      2. Tap
        Settings
        .
      3. Tap
        Manage contacts
        .
      4. Tap
        Merge contacts
        .
      5. Select the contacts to link.
      6. Tap
        Merge
        .
    • To unlink a contact:
      1. Select a contact.
      2. Tap
        Storage locations
        .
      3. Tap
        Unlink
         located to the right of the contacts.
