Manage Data Usage

Setting data limits or warnings on your moto g - 2025 helps you stay aware of your usage habits, which can be useful if your plan provides a fixed amount of data.

Before you begin

Device data usage may differ from actual usage. For accurate info and bill cycle dates, visit the My Verizon website. For business customer data, visit My Business.
To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Family.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    SIMs & mobile network
    SIM for mobile data
    .
  3. Tap
    Data warning and limit
     then do any of the following:
    • To change data usage cycle:
      1. Tap
        Mobile data usage cycle
        .
      2. Select the Usage cycle reset date then tap
        Set
        .
    • To set mobile data warning:
      1. Tap the
        Alert me switch
         to turn on.
      2. Tap
        Data warning
         then enter the preferred warning limit (e.g., 2.0 GB, etc.) then tap
        Set
        .
    • To set mobile data limit:
      1. Tap the
        Limit switch
         to turn on.
      2. Tap
        Data limit
         then enter the preferred data usage limit (e.g., 5.0 GB, etc.) then tap
        Set
        .
