Move Files from Internal Storage to SD / Memory Card

Moving files to an SD card frees up storage space and helps your moto g - 2025 run more efficiently.

Before you begin

Make sure an SD / memory card is inserted in your moto g - 2025.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Storage

This device

Select a category (e.g., Images, Audio, etc.).

If applicable, select the directory/folder that contains the file(s) then touch and hold the file to select it.

Tap the

3-dot Menu icon

then tap

Move to

Tap the

3-line Menu icon

then select

SD Card folder

If necessary, navigate to the applicable directory or create a new folder.

If prompted, tap

Continue

If prompted, tap

Allow access to SD Card

then tap

Allow

Tap

Move
