Before you begin

If using a physical SIM card, make sure there's a 5G SIM card is inserted into the device before powering on.

Steps

  1. Press and hold the
    Power button
     until the device powers on, then select your language.
  2. Tap

    Agree
     to review and accept the Terms and Privacy info.
  3. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap
    Next

  4. To set up your device using an old phone, select
    Galaxy or Android device
     or
    iPhone or iPad
    . Otherwise tap
    Set up manually
    .
  5. Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  6. Select
    An adult or teen
     or
    A child
    .
  7. Sign in to your Google™ account or create a new one.
  8. Sign in to your Samsung account to access Galaxy-specific features.
  9. To copy apps and data, tap
    Next
     to transfer your content now or tap
    Don't copy
    .
  10. Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprints to secure your device.
  11. To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and Apps info, tap
    Accept
    .
  12. Tap
    Agree
     or
    Accept
     to add addtional storage with Verizon Cloud or secure your device with Verizon Protect.
  13. Review the Samsung services screen, then tap
    Agree
    .
  14. Tap
    Home
     to complete setup.
