Move Media Files to / from Computer

Connecting your TCL 50 XL NXTPAPER 5G to a computer allows you to move photos, videos or music to free up storage space or back them up to make sure your files are safe.

Before you begin

If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is needed to transfer files.
Pictures, videos or music files can also be transferred to an SD / memory card.

Steps

  1. Connect your TCL 50 XL NXTPAPER 5G to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap
    Allow
    .
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the
      Status Bar
       then drag to the bottom.
    2. From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging, USB for image transfer, etc.).
    3. Select
      MTP mode
      .
  3. From your computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
  4. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, navigate:

    Internal shared storage
    .
  5. Use the computer to copy media files between the applicable folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera, Download, Movies, etc.) on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
