Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Manage accounts
    .
  3. Select the applicable Gmail address.
  4. Tap
    Remove account
    .
  5. Tap
    Remove
     to confirm.
