Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

A screen lock secures your TCL K33 5G and keeps it private. Setting it up or adjusting the options helps you find the right balance between security and accessibility.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Device unlock
    Screen lock
    .
  3. If presented, enter the current PIN, password or pattern.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To set up a pattern:
      1. Tap
        Pattern
        .
      2. Draw an unlock pattern that connects at least 4 dots then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Draw the same pattern again then tap
        Confirm
        .
      4. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • To set up a PIN:
      1. Tap
        PIN
        .
      2. Enter a numeric PIN that contains 4 to 16 digits then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Re-enter the numeric PIN then tap
        OK
        .
      4. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • To set up a password:
      1. Tap
        Password
        .
      2. Enter a password of 4 to 16 characters then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Re-enter the password then tap
        OK
        .
      4. If presented, select a notification option then tap
        Done
        .
    • To disable screen lock:
      1. Tap 'None' or 'Swipe'.
      2. If prompted, tap
        Delete
         to confirm.
