Add / Remove Face Recognition

Use facial recognition on your Galaxy S25 FE to secure your device and personal info. If you decide to switch methods, you can delete your face data anytime.

Before you begin

If synced to a corporate exchange account, the availability of this option depends on the policies of your IT admin.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Security & privacy
    Lock screen
    .
  3. Enter the current PIN, pattern or password.
  4. Tap
    Face recognition
    .
  5. Do one of the following:
    • For first-time setup:
      1. From the Face recognition prompt, review the info then tap
        Continue
        .
      2. Review the Face registration help info then tap
        Register
        .
      3. Align your face within the circle and follow onscreen prompts until the process is complete.
      4. Tap the following options to turn on or off:
        • Face unlock
        • Stay on Lock screen until swipe
        • Require open eyes
        • Brighten screen
    • To remove face data:
      1. Tap
        Remove face data
        .
      2. Read the disclaimer then tap
        Remove
        .
