Move Media Files to / from Computer

Connecting your Galaxy S25 FE to a computer allows you to move photos, videos or music to free up storage space or back them up to make sure your files are safe.

Before you begin

If using a Macintosh® computer, additional software is needed to transfer files.

Steps

  1. Connect your device to a computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. If prompted to allow access to your data, tap
    Allow
    .
    1. If necessary, touch and hold the
      Status Bar
       from the top middle of the screen then swipe down.
    2. From the list of notifications, locate then tap the USB option (e.g., USB charging, USB for image transfer, etc.).
    3. Select
      Transferring files / Android Auto
      .
  3. From your computer, open File Explorer or Windows Explorer.
  4. Using File Explorer or Windows Explorer, click
    This PC
     then navigate:
    Devices and drives
    Galaxy S25 FE
    Phone
    .
  5. Use the computer to copy media files between the applicable folder (e.g., DCIM/Camera, Download, Movies, etc.) on the device and the desired location on the computer's hard drive.
