Activate / Set Up DeviceActivate your Pixel Watch 4 to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages, and connect to the internet.
Before you begin
If the Pixel Watch 4 was purchased outside of Verizon, contact us to start a line of service for your device.
The Pixel Watch 4 isn't compatible with Apple® devices.
The Pixel Watch 4 can be set up via Number Share. To set up with Number Share, the companion smartphone must be activated on the same Verizon account as the watch.
If you're pairing an existing Pixel Watch 4 with a new Android™ smartphone, refer to Switch Paired Phone.
Install the Google Pixel Watch app on the companion Android smartphone via the Google Play™ Store.
Verify that your companion Android smartphone has a cellular or Wi-Fi connection, you're in a Verizon coverage area and your eSim activation has been processed.
Ensure the watch is charged and powered on.
Steps
- Open theGoogle Pixel Watch app.
- From the Set up your new watch screen, tapContinue.
- To continue from the Terms of service screen, review then tapI agree.
- From the Connect your watch screen, tapGoogle Pixel Watch 4then if prompted, tapAllowto approve the necessary permissions.
- From the Starting pairing screen, ensure the passkey matches what's displayed on the Pixel Watch 4 then tapPair.
- Sign in to your Google account, tapSign in.
- From the Copy to your watch screen, tapCopyorCancel.
- If prompted from the Verify it's you screen, enter your Google account password then tapNext.
- To continue, review the additional legal terms then tapI accept.
- From the Time to add your watch screen, tapAdd watch.
- From the Welcome screen, tapNextthen follow the onscreen prompts to customize your watch (e.g., watch orientation, switch bands, etc.).
- From the Google partners and services screen, review the info to learn how your Assistant works with different services then tapNext.
- From the You're almost done screen, tapContinue.
- Set up a lock screen option for the watch (PIN or pattern) or tapSkip.
- From the Everyday essentials screen, tapSet uporNot now.
- From the Select apps screen, select desired apps, tapContinueor you can choose to skip this step.
- From the Fitbit screen, tapContinueorNot nowto set up later.
- If your watch is activated on a cellular plan from the Stay connected on the go screen, tapSet upor tapNot now.
- From the Fitbit Premium screen, tapInstall FitbitorNot now.
- To complete the setup, tapDoneorSee top features.
