Add a Virtual Private Network

Using your VPN provider or IT admin's credentials, add a VPN to your TAB 8 NXTPAPER 5G to encrypt traffic and protect your identity on public Wi-Fi.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Connections
    VPN
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add icon
    .
  4. If presented with a screen lock notification, tap
    OK
    .
  5. From the Name field, enter the applicable name.
    If needed, contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and credentials.
  6. From the Type field, tap the
    Dropdown Arrow icon
     then select the applicable VPN type.
  7. Enter the required info into the applicable fields (e.g., Server address, Username, Password, etc.).
  8. If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following options, which vary depending on the selected VPN type:
    • IPSec CA certificate
    • IPSec server certificate
    • Proxy
  9. Tap
    Save
