If your TAB 8 NXTPAPER 5G drops data connections due to being near a network border, locking onto a specific network can help; however, roaming charges may apply.

Before you begin

This setting is turned on by default and should only be turned off if necessary. Turning off this setting may impact your service.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Network and internet
     then select the applicable SIM (eSIM 1, Verizon, etc.).
  3. Tap
    Network mode
    .
  4. Tap the
    Choose automatically switch
     to turn on or off.
    If the Select automatically setting is turned off, follow the onscreen prompts to select an available network.
