Turn GPS Location On / Off

GPS location access is needed by some apps on your TAB 8 NXTPAPER 5G to provide turn-by-turn directions or share your location but can be turned off to save battery life.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Location
    .
  3. Tap the
    Use location switch
     to turn on or off.
  4. If preferred, tap
    Location services
     then tap any of the following to configure:
    • Earthquake alerts
    • Emergency Location Service
    • Google Location Sharing
    • Location Accuracy
  5. Tap either of the following switches to turn on or off:
    • Wi-Fi scanning
    • Bluetooth scanning
