Switching to a new device, traveling or troubleshooting a connectivity issue? Learn how to quickly and easily insert or remove the SIM card for your moto g play - 2026.

Before you begin

Don't try to insert or remove the SIM card while your moto g play - 2026 is powered on. Doing so may harm the SIM card and / or the device.

Steps

  1. Using the provided tool, pop out the card tray, located on the left edge of the device, then do one of the following:
    insert SIM card
    • To insert the SIM card, ensure the gold contacts are facing down, then press in on the card to lock it into place.
    • To remove the SIM card, push from the back of the tray to pop out the card.
  2. Push the tray back into the device.
