Manage Do Not Disturb Settings

Do Not Disturb (DND) silences calls and alerts, letting only urgent ones through. If your moto g play - 2026 isn't receiving calls or messages, check settings or disable DND.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Modes
    Do Not Disturb
    .
  3. To activate or deactivate immediately, tap
    Turn on now
    or
    Turn off
    .
  4. To manage exceptions, tap any of the following then select the applicable options to edit what can interrupt Do Not Disturb when turned on:
    • To allow people to interrupt, tap
      People
      then do any of the following:
      • To allow which messages can interrupt:
        1. Tap
          Messages
          .
        2. Tap an option (Starred contacts, Priority conversations, etc.).
        3. Tap the
          Back arrow icon
          .
      • To allow which calls can interrupt:
        1. Tap
          Calls
          .
        2. Tap an option (Starred contacts, Anyone, etc.).
        3. Tap the
          Allow repeat callers switch
          to turn on or off.
        4. Tap the
          Back arrow icon
          .
    • To allow apps to interrupt:
      1. Tap
        Apps
        .
      2. Tap the
        Selected apps
        then tap the
        Settings icon
        .
      3. Tap an app then tap the available switches (e.g., Status alerts, Updates, etc.) to turn on or off.
        Tap
        Add apps
        if the desired app isn't listed.
      4. Tap the
        Back arrow icon
        .
    • To allow alarms and other interruptions:
      1. Tap
        Alarms & other interruptions
        .
      2. Tap any of the available switches (e.g., Alarms, Media sounds, Touch sounds, etc.) to turn on or off.
      3. Tap the
        Back arrow icon
        .
