Manage RTT Settings

Use RTT to text in real time on calls from your moto g play - 2026. This can help with hearing or speech issues or if you prefer typing.

Enable / Disable RTT

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accessibility
    Real Time Text (RTT) Call
    .
  3. Tap the
    Show RTT keyboard during calls switch
     to turn on or off.
    When RTT is enabled on both devices, no audio is heard on the call. If you aren't hearing audio, make sure RTT is turned off.

Make a Call with RTT

  1. With RTT enabled, open the
    Phone app
    .
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Tap the
      Keypad icon
      , enter a 10-digit number then tap the
      RTT icon
      .
    • From the Contacts tab, select a contact then tap the
      RTT call icon
      .
    • From the Favorites tab or Recents tab, tap the
      RTT call icon
      .

Switch a Call to RTT

  1. While on a call, tap the
    3-dot Menu icon
     then select
    Show RTT keyboard
    .

End an RTT Call

  1. While on a call, tap the
    End call icon
    .
