Turn App Permissions On / Off

Apps installed on your moto g play - 2026 may request access to certain device features. You can review and change these permissions any time to suit your needs.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Apps
    All apps
    .
  3. Tap the applicable app.
  4. Tap
    Permissions
    then do one of the following:
    • To allow an app permission:
      1. From the Not allowed section, tap an available permission (e.g., Contacts, Location, etc.).
      2. Tap the applicable Allow option (e.g., Allow only while using the app, Ask every time, etc.).
      3. Tap the
        Back arrow icon
         to return to App permissions.
    • To deny an app permission:
      1. From the Allowed section, tap an available permission (e.g., Camera, Nearby devices, etc.).
      2. Tap
        Don't allow
        .
      3. Tap the
        Back arrow icon
         to return to App permissions.
