Apps use data differently, sometimes more than you expect. Follow these steps to control which apps on your moto g play - 2026 are allowed to use data in the background.

Before you begin

Some apps need background data. Restricting data may cause them not to work without a Wi-Fi connection.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Mobile data
    .
  3. If necessary, select the applicable SIM.
  4. Tap the data used then tap an app below the usage graph to view its usage.
    To restrict the app from using data in the background, tap the
    Background data switch
     to turn off.
