Add a Personal / Corporate Email Account

Follow these instructions to configure IMAP, POP3 or Exchange® account settings for an email address on your moto g - 2026 that's not serviced by Gmail™.

Before you begin

If you need assistance setting up a corporate email account, contact your Exchange / IT admin.

Add a Personal Email Account

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Passwords, passkeys & accounts
    Add account
    .
  3. Tap one of the following:
    Check with your email provider to determine which account type to use.
    • Personal (IMAP)
    • Personal (POP3)
  4. Enter the Email address then tap
    Next
    .
  5. Enter the Password then tap
    Sign in
    .
  6. If presented with Terms & Conditions or a Privacy statement, review then tap
    Yes
     to continue.
  7. If presented, enter the applicable info (e.g., Username, Password, Security type, etc.) then tap
    Next
    .
    If presented, tap
    Advanced
     to ensure the certificate is valid then tap
    Proceed Anyway
     to continue.
  8. If presented, enter the applicable info (e.g., SMTP server, Port, Security type, etc.) then tap
    Next
    .
    If presented, tap
    Advanced
     to ensure the certificate is valid then tap
    Proceed Anyway
     to continue.
  9. Configure the account options as applicable then tap
    Next
    .
  10. Enter an account name if desired then tap
    Next
    .

Add a Corporate Email Account

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Passwords, passkeys & accounts
    Add account
    .
  3. Tap
    Exchange
     (for corporate email accounts).
    Check with your email provider or Exchange / IT admin to determine which account type to use.
  4. Enter the Email address then tap
    Next
    .
  5. Enter your password then tap
    Sign in
    .
  6. If setup is unsuccessful, tap
    Set up manually
     then engage your Exchange / IT admin for more support on:
    • Email address
    • Server address
    • Domain
    • Port number
    • Username
    • Password
    • Activate device administration
    • Sync options (e.g., Email, Contacts, Calendar)
