Customize Your Home Screen

Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy Tab A11+ 5G makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove or arrange apps, use widgets or set a wallpaper that matches your style.

Add Apps

  1. From a Home screen, swipe up from the center of the display to access the apps screen.
  2. Touch and hold an app.
  3. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto the preferred Home screen location.

Add Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
     at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap the appropriate app.
  4. Touch and hold the desired widget.
  5. Drag-and-drop the widget onto the preferred Home screen location.
  6. If applicable, tap additional options to activate the widget.

Remove Apps / Widgets

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widgets, shortcuts, folders, etc.).
  2. When the pop-up bubble appears, release the icon then tap
    Remove
    .

Add / Remove Folders

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
  2. Drag-and-drop the shortcut onto another shortcut (e.g., Gmail).
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To rename a folder:
      1. Tap
        Folder name
         at the top of the folder.
      2. Enter a name for the folder then tap
        Done
         on the lower right of the keypad.
    • To remove a folder:
      1. Drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.

Set Wallpaper

  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper and style
     in the lower left.
  3. Tap
    Change wallpapers
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To use an existing wallpaper image:
      1. Select a wallpaper Album (i.e., Graphical, Colors, etc.) from the list.
      2. Select a wallpaper image from the list.
      3. Tap the preferred option (Home screen, Lock screen) then tap
        Next
        .
      4. Preview the Wallpaper then tap
        Done
        .
    • To use an image from your gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
        .
      2. Locate then tap the preferred photo(s) to select.
      3. Tap
        Done
        .
      4. Tap the preferred option (Home screen, Lock screen) then tap
        Next
        .
      5. Preview the Wallpaper then tap
        Done
        .
