Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Galaxy S26 / S26+ / S26 Ultra to get started. This ensures you can make calls, send messages and connect to the internet

Before you begin

If you have a physical SIM card, ensure the 5G SIM card is inserted before turning on the device.

If the eSIM profile fails to download, refer to Download and Activate an eSIM after device setup is completed.

Press and hold the

Power button

until the screen lights up, follow the prompts to select your language and region then tap

Start

Review the Terms and Privacy screen, then tap

Agree

Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap

To set up your device using an old phone, select

Galaxy or Android device

iPhone or iPad

. Otherwise, tap

Set up manually

Connect to a Wi-Fi network.

Complete the activation steps as prompted then tap

From the Copy apps & data screen, tap

to transfer your content now or tap

Don't copy

Set up a screen lock and face recognition or fingerprints to secure your device.

Review the Google Services options (Photos & videos, Other device data) and tap

Turn on backup

Don't back up

Review the Meet Gemini screen, then tap

and follow the prompts.

To allow Verizon Services to collect Location and Apps info, checkmark the applicable option(s) then tap

Review the Verizon Services, including Verizon Cloud and Digital Secure.

Enter your date of birth, then tap

Select your display preference (Light or Dark) then tap
